Happy New Year!

Hard to believe another year has gone by! Also hard to believe how mild the winter has been in Cincinnati—so far. I’m hoping we get some snow and a stretch of cold weather; I need Mother Nature’s help slowing down some weeds and bugs I battled this year.

Over the next few days, I’m going to start sharing my gardening ideas and goals for 2017. Whatever you’re doing today, have a safe and very Happy New Year!

I Dig Cincy! Let's Shop

Even More Gifts I’d Dig

If I had time for  shopping this week, I’d stop by every store in the the Crafty Supermarket’s last-minute Christmas shopping guide. What a great resource for shopping local!

And, if you’ve never been to the Crafty Supermarket be sure to check it out in April. Always a great time and you never know what you’ll find.

Gifts I’d Dig

Christmas and Hanukkah are both just over a week away. I finished buying presents for everyone a few days ago, so I’m turning my attention to local gifts I might like.

First up, is Shop in the Garden. This time of year, I don’t always like to shop in person so this is a great way to support the Civic Garden Center while shopping online. Win! If you’re local and haven’t checked out the Civic Garden Center, you need to. It’s a gem in the middle of the city “whose mission is building community through gardening, education and environmental stewardship.”

“Mod Tomatoes” tea towel

Back to the shopping. If you need any tools, they have a nice selection of Felco tools available online. There’s not much I actually need, but I love (LOVE!) this “Mod Tomatoes” tea towel from local, Cincinnati artist Elizabeth Ross. She also has an Etsy shop, which is full of even more cute prints and items like produce bags, aprons, and napkins.
